Frequently Asked Questions

I am here to help.

Do you have questions for a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer? I’ve answered the most common ones couples ask before booking. Whether you’re planning in Hertfordshire or anywhere in the UK, this FAQ covers everything from pricing and packages to travel and booking details.

How far in advance should we book you?

Contact me as soon as you have your wedding date! I limit my availability to insure I give couples the best possible experience. Most couples book 12-18 months in advance, especially for summer weekends. But feel free to ask—if I have any last-minute openings, I’ll do my best to help.

Do you travel for weddings?

Although I market myself as a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer, I travel throughout the UK and beyond.

Do you offer both photography and videography

I offer a 2-3 minute wedding highlight video with music, depending on your package. It complements your wedding photos and can be added to your package or booked separately. These wedding videos are designed to compliment your wedding photos perfectly.

Can we meet before booking?

I focus on clear communication and offer a free video call before you book your wedding photography. This helps you ask questions and see if we're a good match for your big day. When you enquire, I will send you a booking link where you can book an appointment at a time that suits you.

How much do your packages cost?

Full day coverage starts at £1499. I offer options based on how much of your day you want covered. Please get in touch for details.

Do you require a deposit/booking fee?

To book your date and keep it reserved, I require a £250 deposit, which will be taken off your final payment. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding.

What happens if you’re ill and can’t make it?

In three years, this has never happened (but never say never). I take photographing your wedding seriously and always aim to give you the best service. If I can’t make it, a trusted colleague will step in. You will always be covered. Alternatively, if you decide to make your own arrangements, a full refund will be given.

Do You Photograph LGBTQ+ Weddings?

Absolutely — and with pride.
I want to be clear about this: everyone is welcome here. You deserve to feel safe, supported, and free to be fully yourselves.
I’ve had the honour of photographing many LGBTQ+ weddings, and while it saddens me that this reassurance is still needed, I know from my clients how much it can matter when choosing wedding suppliers.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Rain is always a possibility in the UK, so when choosing your wedding venue it’s worth keeping this in mind. As a documentary-style wedding photographer, I capture your day exactly as it unfolds, and sometimes the weather becomes a beautiful part of the story.

If you’re happy to embrace the rain, we can create some truly atmospheric and romantic images outdoors. But don’t worry if you’d prefer to stay inside, I always bring additional lighting and have plenty of experience photographing indoor wedding portraits and group photos.

No matter the weather, you’ll still receive relaxed, natural wedding photos that reflect your day perfectly. View a rainy wedding blog post here!

Are you insured?

Yes I am. And I can provide you and your venue with a copy of my public liability insurance upon request.

How will you keep our images safe?

I use professional grade cameras that record every photo and video clip to two SD cards simultaneously, which means your images are backed up the moment they’re taken. As soon as I return home from your wedding, I copy everything onto a separate external hard drive for another layer of security.

I never wipe the original SD cards until your final wedding gallery has been delivered, so your images are always stored in multiple safe locations throughout the entire process.
