I’m April, a Hertfordshire wedding photographer with a calm head and a warm presence. I’m not the photographer who hides in the corner all day; I’ll be in amongst the party, chatting to your guests, helping with buttonholes, straightening veils, and quietly fixing the little things that matter.
But I also know when to step back.
When something meaningful is unfolding, I give it space. I let it breathe. And I document it honestly.
I’ll guide you into natural, elegant portraits when needed, but I’ll never let photography take over your day. The focus is always the experience. The result is storytelling that feels personal, emotional, and beautifully real.

Becoming a wedding photographer wasn’t part of the plan. Before I picked up a camera, I was a Community Nurse, supporting families through life’s most profound transitions. That experience taught me one thing: how powerful a single image can be years later. That understanding shapes how I approach your wedding, with sensitivity, intention, and a deep respect for the quiet, honest moments that happen only once.
A Calm, Reassuring Presence Couples often tell me they feel at ease in my presence. I know when to quietly observe and when to gently guide you into the best light for an elegant portrait. Whether I’m blending into the background or helping pin a buttonhole, my goal is to document your day as it naturally unfolds, without pressure or interruption.
Photography & Film: The Hybrid Experience To ensure your story is told fully, I offer a seamless hybrid approach. By working alongside a dedicated second shooter, we capture both high-end photography and cinematic film simultaneously. This allows us to document every angle and every emotion, ensuring nothing is missed while you stay fully present in the moment.
